Macedonian violinist and conductor Emilio Percan performs all over the world and counts as one of the
most interesting musicians and most respected music pedagogues in Europe. He works on a regular
basis with Daniel Hope, Viktoria Mullova, Julia Lezhneva, Xavier de Maistre, Dorothee Mields, Maurice
Steger, Chen Reiss, Michael Roll Vivica Genaux i.a.. He is the artistic director of the GAP Ensemble and
concertmaster of Concerto Koeln, l`arte del mondo, Koelner Akademie i.a.. Percan has performed in
Europe, Asia, North and South America, The Emirates and Russia in venues and festivals such as Teatro
Colon Buenos Aires, Berlin Philharmonic, Baden-Baden Featspielhaus, Tokyo Opera House, Israel
Festival, Bach Festival Leipzig, Handel Festspiele, Zurich Opera, Savannah Festival etc.
He has recorded
for Deutsche Grammophon, DECCA, SONY, Harmonia Mundi, Capricio, Pan Classics and Onyx Classics.
He studied with Isabella Golovina in Moscow and Dora Ivanova in Sofia, before attending Folkwang
University in Essen, where he studied with Peter Daniel. Percan also worked with Andreas Reiner,
Vladimir Mendelssohn, Christian Rieger, Dirk Mommertz, and Stephan Schardt.
He holds a teaching position at the University of arts in Graz/Austria since 2015 and the Kalaidos Music
University in Zurich/ Switzerland since 2020.
His students are winners of more then 150 prizes at
national and international competitions, and hold leading positions in many European orchestras such
as Verbier Festival orchestra, Moritzburg Festival Orchestra, Art Link orchestra etc.
