Emmanuel Laville is currently principal oboe of the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra. He held the same position with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra between 2008 and 2011.

Emmanuel is also the lecturer in Oboe music at the Sibelius Academy (University of the Arts) in Helsinki and professor at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm.

Emmanuel won the 1st Prize in the 2011 Gillet-Fox Competition organised by the International Double Reed Society (IDRS). He was also awarded the 2nd Prize at the International Spring Competition in Prague in 2008.

Emmanuel regularly collaborates with various orchestras such as the Royal Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Bavarian Radio Symphony, Budapest Festival, London Symphony, Mahler Chamber among others.
