Boris Dinerchtein studied violin in the State Conservatory of Belarus. After graduation, he devoted his time to both the Broadcast and Television State Orchestra and the Special School of Music of the State Conservatory of Belarus, among others.

Since 1991 he lives in Mexico City, where he has been a member of the National Symphony Orchestra of Mexico and the Mineria Symphony Orchestra. In Mexico he founded the Camerton Chamber Ensemble, which has performed extensively all over the country, and recorded several CDs for Sony Classical and Tower Records. One of the most important tasks of the Ensemble has been the performance of music written by young Mexican composers. Boris Dinerchtein has dedicated most of his life to teaching, and many of his pupils have become competition winners, soloists, chamber musicians and members of important orchestras in the US, Latin America and Europe. He has served as a jury member of numerous competitions, as well as the Chairman of the Jury at the National Violin Competition Hermilo Novelo. Since 1991 he has been teaching at the Centro de Investigación y Estudios de la Música (CIEM), which is affiliated with ABRSM, the Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music in the UK.

Boris Dinerchtein is an experienced amateur photographer. He is also an accomplished chess and checkers player with a Master title, winner of multiple national and international competition.
